Today's walk didn't cover much new ground but it did take me to a wonderful poetry reading in the Meadowbrook Ponds. I had planned to check it out and stay for about 15 minutes but it was so enjoyable that I stayed for the entire time.

Most of the attendees read and many were published poets but I felt comfortable just listening. Some read their own poems and others read poems that they had not written but enjoyed.

Even though I walked familiar streets, I noted new things by walking on a different side of the street. I got a new view of Thornton Creek ...

... and spotted an old manhole cover.

Today, the destination was as enjoyable as the 3.5 mile walk.
