It was obvious why the neighborhood I walked today is named View Ridge. Cresting the ridge provides great views.

Mount Rainier was out today.

I did venture south of 65th to pick up a few secluded streets in Hawthorne Hills/Windermere and found as stairway down to ...

... the Burke Gilman Trail which was busy today.

I noted the protected bike lane on 65th, ...

... new homes built high to take advantage of the views, ...

... and some lovely gardens.

Taking a tumble,  I decided to cut my walk short at 4 miles but not before seeing multiple houses going up on lots, a large parking lot and landscaped seating area behind the Children's Clinic on Sand Point Way and four Little Free Libraries (one had a separate Kid's Library). I could have picked up Michelle Obama's "Becoming", Home and Garden magazines, novels, cookbooks, parenting books or children's books.
