This crisp morning found us back in the Maple Leaf neighborhood where we walked streets between 94th and 100th from Roosevelt to 15th. We spotted a street mural, a cake decorating supply shop, a bead shop, multiple alleys, and two church buildings (Emmaus Road and Lakeview Free Methodist which now shares space with Iglesia Cristiana Las Americas).

We also passed some creative vegetation, ...

... the Maple Leaf Music Space which sports a colorful Henry mural and is the home of Swing By, Ev Stern's Jazz Workshop and piano lessons, ...

... a modest house which is being knocked down and replaced by a new, larger home (asking price $1,950,000), an empty Little Free Bakery and three new Little Free Libraries (containing a mix of fiction, nonfiction, children's and tween's books).

Walking east along 98th, I came to a staircase at 20th which took me down into a ravine and Thornton Creek. Continuing east to Lake City Way, I noted that the Italian Spaghetti House is now a liquor store. Then at Ravenna, I spied Viewpoint Learning Solutions before passing a neat row of townhomes along Ravenna.

Nearing 95th and Ravenna, I spotted this picnic table looking down on Lake City Way.

heading east on 95th, it appeared that a number of trees had been removed from the Ryther property.

I passed a sign for the Thornton Creek Natural Area on my way towards Matthews Beach and the end of my 5 mile walk.
